HOMING IN ON HIPSWhen we put your house on the market, you must now have a Home Information Pack (HIP) produced. A HIP provides potential buyers with key details about your property, such as its energy efficiency, boundary ownership and planning permissions. Once completed, the HIP will be available to everyone interested in viewing your home and should speed up the conveyancing process when a sale is agreed. HIPs Yorkshire Ltd One of our seven fully qualified Domestic Energy Assessors (DEAs) will visit your property to give it an energy rating similar to those you see on white goods, like washing machines. The report they produce will form an important part of your HIP, giving potential buyers information about the property’s carbon footprint and recommendations on how it can be improved. Our DEAs also carry out work for other estate agencies that do not have qualified staff in-house. For further information, please contact our head office. Fees to suit you Clients wanting to pay up front are rewarded with a discount on the price of the pack, but if you would prefer to defer the cost of the HIP, it can be added to your final account once your house has been sold. |
